Ariminum is a floor lamp featuring a vertical and essential silhouette, it includes a handcrafted SPLOT® shade designed to define space through light. Ariminum acts as a scenographic architectural element perfect for contemporary lounges, high-ceiling hallways, or as a sophisticated reading light in a private library.
Its name, Ariminum, is the ancient Latin name for Rimini - the historic destination of the Via Emilia - symbolizing light as a guide for journeys across space and time.
This project originated as a bespoke request inspired by the "La Timida" lamp created for Fuorisalone 2021.
The client sought a sober yet charismatic vertical light to furnish with sartorial elegance. Born from a tailored vision, Ariminum balances functional lighting with the poetic presence of Italian high craftsmanship, turning a simple floor lamp into a unique narrative of structural grace.
The cylindrical shade of Ariminum features the iconic "Ménage à trois" weave, a rhythmic pattern handcrafted from three aluminum elements - two delicate strands and one structural strip.
This composition creates a vibrant, graphic surface that filters light with a perfect balance of transparency and solidity. The design evokes the experimental spirit of modular art, where light becomes a tactile material that transforms the surrounding environment.
Available in various color palettes and finishes, the lamp offers extensive customization in terms of textures and luminous intensity. Every Ariminum is a unique piece of sustainable Italian design, where the manual weaving process ensures that the architectural sign remains light, breathable, and deeply expressive in any context.
